summary of the video with the time for reference:

1. Muscles around the ankle joint cross at least 2 joints 1:43
intrinsic :originate and insert within the foot
-extrinsic :come from top and insert at foot

2.Extrinsic are divided into 1:30
-posterior
-lateral
-anterior

3.triceps sursae 2:54
-two head of gastronemius
-soleus
-casuse plantarflexion on concentric contraction
-causes dorsiflexion on eccentric contraction
also causes sub talar inversion
shortness of this muscle can cause midfoot foot and forefoot pain and put stress of plantar fascia

4.Tibialis posterior 7:23
behind medial malleolus goes and attaches to navicule
-causes pantarflexion on concentric contraction
-controlls foot pronation on eccentric contraction
dysfunction of tibialis posteror can cause flat foot

5 Flexor hallucis longus 12:23
travel posterior to medial malleolus
FDS pull on digits is oblique which is balenced by the quadratus plantae
help to maintan line of gravity and prevent postural sway

6.lateral compartment 15:23
-peroneus longus
-peroneus brevis
travel posterior to lateral malleolus and attach to base of 1st and 5th metatarsal respectively
cause pronation twis at tarso metatarsal joint
ankle sprain can injure these muscles and affect the stability of sub talar joint.
