RAVE is the authority on emerging music from India and the lifestyle that surrounds it.

RAVE was launched as a first-of-its-kind music magazine as the last word on emerging music from India and the lifestyle that surrounds it in 2002. It was modelled on Rolling Stone magazine. The magazine was published by Soul City Publications ten times per year. In 2004 the US edition began to be published. Its online edition started in August 2007.

Current
Having originally started as a print magazine, RAVE along with its changing media consumption behaviour of its readers, evolved into a digital format. In 2016, Cross Bones Media is reviving RAVE in India in an all new avatar. Along with re-establishing itself as a Digital Music Magazine, it is adding three more verticals to its business -Talent Discovery and Management, Music Production, Events & Touring.

Founder
Rishi Shah founded RAVE magazine in 2001, at a time when there was a huge lacuna in the promotion of emerging artistes in India.

The mission of the magazine was to showcase Indian musicians – legend and newcomer alike – on the same platform, with insightful engagement with a young, enthusiastic, and under-served audience. About its return, its’ founder Rishi says,

"I told my investors that if I am coming back this time, I am going to do it my way. I am actively and personally involved with discovery, development, packaging, marketing, audio & video production, distribution, touring, managing, publishing and collections.

We are focused on employing the best available technologies to create the most engaging and immersive musical experiences for our audiences.

India currently has its first sub-cultural generation in both its ancient and modern history. Never before have we had so many graduates in sound production and engineering, cinematography, UI-UX and graphic design. What makes this an interesting time is that there are jobs and careers in these fields. 15 years ago, there were only a few venues where you could do these things.”
