Several political parties in Polokwane council are calling for a criminal probe following Justice Minister Thembi Simelane's appearance before the Parliamentary Committee on VBS allegations
Simelane is alleged to have benefited from a loan from a VBS-linked company.
She has however denied any links between the loan and the municipality's investment in VBS, stating the loan was fully repaid.
The Polokwane municipality is one of very few who withdrew their investments before the Treasury instructed the municipality not to invest in VBS.
