New Hope & Ivyland Railroad #40 O-Scale 2-8-0 Consolidation METCA Exclusive Lionel Legacy One of 50!

Wow, the New Hope RR #40, finally in O scale with this beautiful METCA Division of the TCA exclusive Lionel Legacy steam engine. The New Hope & Ivyland Railroad #40 has never been made in O gauge before. METCA has released a limited run of only 50 units.

I was very happy to be the first to pre-order. About a year later it finally arrived in my hands on May 25, 2024. Based on the Consolidations featured in the Lionel 2023 Volume II catalog.

I huge and grateful thank you to Stu Rankin of METCA for making this engine happen. The special New Hope boxcar was icing on the cake!

*****Update, May 27, 2024: Running this engine on day 2, I ran the horn for 2 minutes straight and some whistle steam started to appear. It now seems to work, just have to get it warmed up and really lay on the horn to get it going. Thank goodness.
