Lvivske Porter from Ukraine

I found Lvivske Porter in Sprague Mart in Parma. Unfortunately, I do not remember what I paid for it. I misspoke a few times in the video and said I had never had a beer from Ukraine before. However, I have had 3 other beers from Ukraine in the past. This beer was brewed by Carlsberg Ukraine although Beer advocate lists it as being brewed by Lvivska Pivovarnya. The beer poured out a nice ruby cola color with a nice frothy tan head that dissipated slowly. The beer had a faint roasted malt scent and not much else. The body was very watery, especially for an 8% porter. The flavors were mild. Some raisin notes and some maltiness were the only real flavors in the beer and they were not very strong. I figured out after the fact that the beer did have a date code on it that listed it as being bottled on 070423. I assume that means April 7 of 2023 making this beer almost 15 months old. Knowing that it was not stored properly and that it was old it is hard to give this a fair review. I would like to try this fresh, but I definitely would not buy this again with out looking at the date code. If I ever do come acrost this one fresh I will revisit it.
