LS Swap: Ignition coil harness upgrade, using MSD # 88867

MSD 6010 6012 and 6014 igition controllers have a small design flaw. The good news is that it is easily remedied. The ignition controller, sensors and all 8 coils receive power from a single 16g power wire. I noticed the truck runs funny when I have other accesories drawing power. It acted like it had a strange random misfire. MSD sells harness kit 88867 that provides a better source of power to each coil pack with a designated 12g power wire.
The only caveat is that you have to buy an $80 harness from MSD versus them actually integrating this setup in their 6014-60143 kits. However It is a worthwhile upgrade. I feel the truck starts,idles and drives a bit smoother, but who knows that could be a placebo effect. Regardless this 6.0 runs amazing in a heavy Suburban.
