But this time, Rascal Motorcycles of Riga, Latvia, has delivered something truly special—a lean, aggressive, and timeless scrambler that elevates the classic dual-sport into pure art on two wheels.

Led by builder Aleksandrs Svjatskis, the Rascal team stripped the Dominator down to its bare essentials during the initial teardown. Gone were the factory suspension, the bulky rear subframe, and all the stock bodywork. In their place, Rascal crafted a masterpiece that balances rugged function with elegant details.

The rear of the bike is particularly eye-catching. A looped tubular subframe, fabricated entirely from scratch, now supports one of the most elegant saddles you’ll ever see. Wrapped in dark brown leather and finished with diamond-pattern stitching, the seat exudes vintage charm while maintaining a scrambler’s tough aesthetic. Beneath it sits a small custom fender with a circular LED taillight and license plate mount, adding a neat and modern touch. Complementing this setup, an aluminum swingarm-mounted fender keeps dirt at bay, while sleek LED turn signals integrate seamlessly into the minimalist design.

Moving to the wheels, Rascal installed a 17-inch Excel hoop at the back paired with a fresh wave-style brake disc. At the front, a Talon wheel hub connects to an 18-inch rim via stainless-steel spokes, delivering both durability and retro-inspired looks. The front suspension now features inverted forks borrowed from a Yamaha WR400, mounted securely with billet aluminum triple clamps. A high-mounted custom fender completes the scrambler stance, while a four-piston caliper paired with a 320 mm rotor ensures powerful stopping capability. Dual-purpose tires wrap the wheels, ready for both asphalt and off-road adventures.

The fuel tank is another standout element. Taken from a Royal Enfield Classic and adapted to fit seamlessly, it enhances the scrambler’s retro appeal while maintaining practicality. Beneath the seat, Rascal added a custom electronics box to keep things tidy, ensuring the bike’s silhouette stays clean and uncluttered. Up front, a vintage-style round headlight pairs with modern digital aftermarket gauges and a new handlebar, creating a cockpit that blends old-school spirit with contemporary usability.

Mechanically, the NX650’s heart has also received major attention. The single-cylinder engine was fully rebuilt, breathing new life into the powerplant. A Uni foam air filter provides improved airflow, while a handmade two-into-one exhaust system adds both performance and a deep, throaty soundtrack. Additional touches include protective fork covers, rugged serrated foot pegs set further back for aggressive riding, and a plain yet stylish black-and-blue paint scheme that ties the entire build together.

The result is a motorcycle that doesn’t just look lean and mean—it rides with purpose. Rascal Motorcycles has managed to retain the Dominator’s dual-sport DNA while giving it a new scrambler identity that feels both timeless and unique. It’s not just a bike; it’s a rolling piece of craftsmanship that reflects passion, skill, and a deep respect for the art of customization.
