Mandatory registration of NZ social workers - what you need to know

Описание к видео Mandatory registration of NZ social workers - what you need to know

New Zealand is shifting to mandatory registration of all social workers, who will need to be registered by 27 February 2021. This video provides a short overview of the changes for the sector after the law was amended. You will need to be registered if you call yourself a social worker, you hold yourself out as a social worker or if you are known as a social worker. After the 27th February 2021, the title social worker is protected and can only be used by those social workers who are registered. The shift to mandatory registration is about protecting the public and enhancing the profession. Find out more by checking out swrb.govt.nz.
