About Alemay:
Born and raised in Singapore, and of Indian-Eurasian heritage, Alemay’s unmistakable warmth on stage has made her one of the most unique Singaporean performers in her field. Most famous for her sultry vocal stylings and gutsy personality, Alemay has performed for presidents, politicians, and business moguls alike. Hailed by Timeout Magazine as “One of Singapore’s Best-Loved Entertainers”, she has performed with Bobby Soul (from the legendary soul group “The Platters”) and opened for jazz superstar Laura Fygi. Alemay has also shared the stage with Larry Braggs of Tower of Power, members of the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Dutch jazz trumpet phenom Saskia Laroo, Justin Faulkner (drummer for Branford Marsalis), Japan’s beloved jazz pianist Makoto Ozone, Stanley Banks and Oscar Seaton Jr. (long-time bassist and drummer for George Benson), and many more international musical stars.

About Durian Awards:
The Durian Awards at the Esplanade's Outdoor Theatre were a bit of fun. Hosted by Najip Ali, this parody of an awards show saw Tang Quartet take the Best Boyband Award, among others. But the moment of the night came when actor Andrew Lua peformed his adaption of the Gangnam Style dance. He called it "Esplanade Style", and horsey-danced about onstage - complete with Psy-like shades and moves.

Hosted by Najip Ali, be surprised by the stars who will be dropping by, including Selena Tan, Patricia Mok, Irene Ang, Kumar, Alemay Fernandez, T'ang Quartet, Joanna Dong, Teo Boon Chye, Paul Danial, Darius Tan, Andrew Lua and Dwayne Lau.
