This video shows how to easily reset or program a Kwikset Powerbolt 2 deadbolt door lock. How to use the programming chart that comes with the lock. Follows all the steps to reset the lock back to its original factory defaults. Change the Master code, adding new user codes, deleting user codes along with how to enable the Auto Locking feature. For SECURITY reasons I show you how to change the factory Master Code and delete the factory User Code so that criminals can not enter using those well known codes. If you have a problem I have listed some solutions below.

PROBLEMS can be 1 of 3 Categories: Software; Hardware or Defects.
1) Check to make sure you have FRESH BATTERIES.
2) If you have any problems Always start at the beginning and RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS.
3) The MASTER CODE (MC) does NOT open the lock only the USER CODE (UC) opens the lock.
(the Master Code is a like a password to change, delete, or create new USER CODES)
4) HARDWARE: If its a newly installed lock, problems might be an alignment issue or something
like the left or right knob not set up correctly. Refer to the installation instructions that came with
with the lock.
5) DEFECT: Refer to Kwikset or the place you purchased the lock from.
