The SJ model was most notable for adding the monstrous 455 cubic inch V8 that you'll find nestled under the long hood of this personal luxury coupe. Backing that behemoth of an engine is a 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. This vehicle was kept int eh same family since 1973, and its believed to be almost 100% original, with the only exception being maintenance and wear items, such as belts, hoses, fluids, etc. The owner took great care to ensure the high quality of this survivor was not lost as time went on. The engine, transmission, rear axle, and miles are all believed to be original to the vehicle. Onlookers regularly ask "How much did the restoration cost?" only to be stunned when informed of its originality.
