Kitty asks why girls are asked to regulate their dress in order to protect the men and boys around them from their own reactions. A powerful and thought provoking talk on the reality of being objectified. Kitty is a seventeen year old A-level student studying Music, Drama, Politics and Psychology A Levels. She is very engaged with her studies and incorporates them into her daily life, discussing political and social issues with others as well as performing in a local youth theatre. Kitty aspires to becoming an actor and hopes to end up in the West End. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
