▬ 📃 Systemic Mycoses
Opportunistic Fungal Infections are subcategorized into three Infectious Diseases. Fusariosis occurs in people with weak Immunity. These immunocompromised patients present with fungal keratitis, onychomycosis, and pulmonary and sinus Infection.

Pathogenesis of scedosporiosis discusses that the Infection begins to develop when conidia are inhaled into the lungs. Other routes of infection of scedosporiosis include the skin and eye. Its diagnosis is carried out with the help of histopathologic techniques, culture evidence, demonstration of tissue invasion, Blood culture, and Polymerase Chain Reaction techniques.

Trichosporonosis is another opportunistic mycosis. Characteristics of fungi causing trichosporonosis are that it is present in the soil, sewage, and water. It can be diagnosed by histopathologic examination of skin lesions and cryptococcal Antigens latex agglutination in serum.

Superficial cutaneous infections of systemic mycoses are also subcategorized. Its yeast Infection involves the scalp, face, back, and chest. More precisely, we can say its Pathogenesis only involves the stratum corneum.

Dermatophyte Infection of superficial cutaneous mycoses progresses when its enzyme called keratinase enters the skin and the inflammatory reaction takes place. It is diagnosed when the scrapings taken from the lesion are seen under the microscope along with culture testing.
