Museums and galleries across the world are filled with artworks, jewels, and priceless relics seized during the reign of the British Empire. They usually come with polite plaques, but the truth is often far from polite. Filmed across 11 different nations from Kenya to Canada, in this season Marc goes in search of the hidden histories of a whole new suite of artefacts and uncovers the truth of how they got there.

Along the way, Marc discovers hidden tales of heists, wars, intrigue, and skullduggery. Were these treasures really stolen? By whom? And what should be done with them now? The answers to these questions are never as straightforward as they seem.
