A dog that had a pretzel jar on her head has since been found, according to the Canine Rescue of Central Pennsylvania.
The rescue said they were first made aware of the dog on Sunday.
Many volunteers extensively searched for the dog, which is believed to be a Collie or collie mix.
Officials said the dog was seen in the Dillsburg area, but would get startled when approached.
"No one can get close enough to it. We are assuming that it's afraid. And once anyone gets close enough to the dog, it runs in the cornfield. That plastic container is down to, I would say, about a quarter of the way down its neck, and it's been seen trying to get it off, and it can't get it off. So, it's not getting water. It's not getting food. We're worried about it getting proper oxygen," said Beth Miller, a volunteer at Canine Rescue of Central Pennsylvania.
People were asked to call the hotline and not to chase or attempt to approach the dog.
Dog found
The Canine Rescue of Central Pennsylvania said they found the dog in a cornfield on Wednesday, around 3 a.m.
The dog was named Dallas, after the drone pilot from Nighthawk Drone Service who helped find her.
The rescue said the dog was taken to a veterinary emergency clinic.
