On August 29, 2016, four A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthogs” from Moody Air Force Base flew dangerously low over Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina — home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers. Now, a preliminary FAA report calls the flight “careless and reckless,” and the pilots have been grounded pending investigation.

The A-10s flew as low as 500 feet — below the required 1,000 ft minimum
FAA says pilots lacked proper waivers for low-level, high-speed flight over a city
They also exceeded the 250-knot speed limit under 10,000 ft
