Reminders:
There are inherently safer options for keeping young poultry warm compared to a heat lamp, but simply lowering the bulb wattage can create a lower but also comfortable temperature gradient.
Start your poultry on crumble feed and move up to pellet feed once they are larger (although they could eat crumbles forever); my ducklings are eating pellet feed at week three
For chickens, it is a good idea to keep them away from swimming, but ducks prefer to swim. Make sure they are warm.
Be ready to transfer your ducklings to a larger space, as they will grow quick. Within three weeks my ducklings are approximately 3 times as large.
Finding a waterer that does not leak can be an issue. Most of the conventional waterers will leak unless perfectly level with the ground. You may have to struggle with one until your ducklings are OK to swim.

I have raised one flock of 6 runner ducks and am currently raising 2 Cayuga ducks as well as another runner duck. I am by no means an expert, so this information is solely from personal experience. Prior health complications with ducklings can affect outcomes. Generally when raising poultry indoors you can follow the same guidelines with the added benefit of easy temperature control.
