Wife says.. "I want you to take me fishing"... I had to get her to repeat it to believe it 😅
So away we went. Tried what worked last week and nada. Switched up to wiggle hoochie, nada again.
She says try the KCP so we did.. I chose hot tamale (red with gold sparkles) she chose orange. Well she slayed it. Never have I seen such a happy lady coming out of the gates and smashes it with a limit. (Current status 5 kokanee (limit) for her with 6 missed bites, 2 kokanee for me and hardly any bites to show for it.)

My fishing instincts kicked in and switched over to the same. Pressures on!
Caught my 3rd then my 4th and now on my last for the limit. Then the rod tip bends down unlike the others. Pulled it up and noticed the rod remained buckled down. I screamed "babe! This isn't a kokanee!" She says "ya right you're exaggerating...🙄"
When the fished surface I realized this was the biggest bull trout I've ever seen! 😲New lake species unlocked!
Took a few pictures, released the fishy back to its home and did a victory dance lol. What an excellent way to finish a Sunday 😁

Summary 9 kokanee to take home. Trolled 1.34 to 1.39 mph, the rigger at 70-90 ft below water. Delta gibbs dogtail dodger with KCPs.
