Carol Lawrence from Angels Sewing and Quilting shares her class prep instructions for the Reversible Sun Hat. This class is scheduled on July 16th. A few tips from Carol:
~ FABRIC: Carol used Alison Glass fabric for fun summer colors.
~ PATTERN: Very easy to cut out - only two pattern pieces! They are nicely labeled and explained so Carol found it very easy to use. There are not sizes but we can let it out or bring it in if you chat with Carol - she chatted with the bag designer to get some tips.
~ FABRIC: Carol likes quilting cotton and remember this is reversible so maybe two different kinds. You could also use some waxed canvas if you wanted to make it into a rain hat. Remember with canvas, you need an industrial machine like a Juki or a Baby Lock Accomplish.
~ NOTIONS: The pattern calls for a heavy weight interfacing, which Carol thinks is to give the brim some additional stiffness. She used Shape Flex (SF101).
~ HARDWARE: NONE! So nice and easy!

~ Time to Cut: 30-40 minutes
~ Time to Make: Under 2 hours

Extra Notes:
~ The pattern calls for bias strips - Carol doesn't quilt or bind so she did not bind the edges. You definitely still can!
