Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has launched an online platform called the “Darpan” for admission into Higher Secondary courses under the council through online mode . Students who have passed HSLC exam this year may apply online through this web portal for first year courses under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council for the academic session 2023 - 2024. The HS admission process is going to start from 29th May 2023.

Assam HS Admission 2023 for Higher Secondary 1st year classes will be completed through "Darpan", the common portal for online HS admission .

How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission ?


Students want to get admission into the Higher Secondary 1st year courses in different Institutions including Universities/ Degree Colleges/ Senior Secondary Schools/ Higher Secondary Schools under the AHSEC must apply online. They may follow below mentioned steps to submit their applications online.


Step 1: Scroll down, check Important Web Link‘s section.
Step 2: Click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link.
Step 3: A portal will load, click on Register a new Account link.
Step 4: Next you need to enter your personal and educational details as required by the portal.
Step 5: Upload scan copy of passport sized photograph and 10th mark sheet.
Step 6: Next choose a 4 digit Login PIN and click on register button .
Step 7: Next again click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link and log in again.
Step 8: Select your desired course and colleges/ schools . You may choose maximum five institutions in order of their preference for admission.
Step 9: At the end, click on submit button and take a print of submitted form for future reference .
Step 10: Please do check the portal regularly for updates. You will be notified through the portal which institution(s) you have been selected for admission. 


Documents to be Upload with Online Form

Students must keep the following listed documents ready in JPG, JPEG or PNG file format within maximum size of 1 MB during online application form submission.

Recent Passport Size Photograph.
HSLC/ 10th Marksheet (Digital).
Caste Certificate (As applicable).
Disability Certificate (As applicable).
TGL or Ex-TGL Certificate (As applicable).
Gap Certificate (As applicable).

The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2023 Merit List will be available on the Darpan portal itself. The merit list will be published by the concerned institutions. 
Accordingly, the seat allotment will be available online for all students and they have to get admitted to their desired or allotted institution/ colleges within stipulated time frame . 


The merit list is going to be published after the completion of online application process. Students will have to select the school or college of their choice within stipulated time by visiting Darpan portal . 


How to Check AHSEC Admission Merit List?


Students who submitted their online applications for admission in to Higher Secondary 1st year under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council will be able to check their admission merit list in due course of time. The merit list will be prepared by the colleges and schools on the basis of their performance in the HSLC/ AHM examination. To check category-wise Assam HS Admission 2023 Merit List, you may follow below mentioned steps .

Scroll up, go to Important Web Link's section.

Click on HS 1st Year Merit List link.

A new webpage will load - enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, Security PIN and click Login.

 Darpan portal dashboard will be opened. Click on Application Submitted button.

It will display the list of names of all of your submitted application for colleges/schools.

Against the name of each school/ college, you will get the details about your admission request.

If you are shortlisted in the merit list, click on the Accept Admission Request link and accept your admission in the desired college/school.
