AhmingP feat. Megurine Luka & Kamui Gakupo – ggrks - ググれカス | Go Google It - ENG Sub | 英語字幕

Описание к видео AhmingP feat. Megurine Luka & Kamui Gakupo – ggrks - ググれカス | Go Google It - ENG Sub | 英語字幕

※The lyrics of this song contain a lot of in-jokes and slang from the anonymous Japanese messageboard 2channel. In order to maintain these nuances, I translated all slang terms into similar words prevalent in English anonymous messageboard culture. As such, this song contains some instances of strong, rude language. Please watch with care.

Another huge nostalgia song! I listened to this one a ton when I was younger. But it was only within the past year or so that, to my surprise, I found out that the most popular English translation of this song on YouTube is fairly inaccurate! It totally misses all of the aforementioned slang terms and the whole messageboard vibe, which is a shame.

Now, I’m far from the first person to re-translate this song into English in the modern era, but I don’t believe any prior re-translations have been made into subbed videos (I could be wrong, though). Also, I haven’t seen anyone ever translate all the text that appears in the classic PV (which isn't the original PV, actually!), so I wanted to give all of that a shot myself. I hope my efforts come across!

(Note: the title of the video and my choice to subtitle the video using Luka and Gakupo's respective colors both pay homage to the original English translation video.)

ツンデルカと、KYがくぽによるオリジナル曲です。ルカの魅力である英語を入れようとした際、グーグルではなくエキサイトの翻訳を頼りにしました。
An original song about tsundere Luka and socially awkward Gakupo. For Luka's trademark English, I relied on Excite Translation rather than Google.

-As mentioned, this song uses a lot of Japanese internet slang. These are too plentiful to mention in the description alone, so here is a Google doc detailing some of the more interesting parts of the lyrics & my relevant translation choices, for anyone who's interested: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IoP1bn...

-Other than that, I'm not too sure what Luka means in the part in the PV where she says, "I am the mother of all things." I researched that line for a while, but my searches never turned up anything. I don't think my translation it is incorrect, at the very least, I just can't explain the context behind it, haha.
