This problem helps the viewers to know the concepts of Manual part programming of milling exercises using G and M codes . They will know how to fix the billet size, how to select the tools depending on the design given, write the coordinates of each and every corner of the profile. They will also know clearly the difference between profiling and pocketing. They will also know how to control the depth of profile or pocketing in the program made using G and M codes. They will also know about absolute coordinate system G90 from which point all the coordinates of the profile and pocketing points are calculated. Knowing this basic problem they can independently try any other complex profiles with circular pocketing in the known positions on the billet or work piece and get the components using CNC milling machine by writing corresponding manual part program using G & M codes.
The viewers and students will also understand all the features of fanuc milling simulation software like checking syntax of the program written, dry run concepts, obtaining the simulation , setting the datum, getting 3D view of the component, Saving and retrieving the file, debugging features etc
