Freewing Avanti S V2 Maiden at the Tomcats Field, Morgan Hill, CA

This is a video of my Freewing Avanti S V2 Maiden (plus one) at the Tomcats Field, Morgan Hill, CA on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

The sun and haze were an issue with videography at this early time of day so a lot of each flight had to be cut. The EDF sounds as close to a gas turbine as I've ever heard from one of these "flying shop vacs"...

All full throttle passes were made into the ~8 mph wind so they are not blistering. But, I did make one in a subsequent flight (unrecorded - of course) that got everyone's attention.

After four flights, I am VERY impressed with this plane. It is nimble, has a good deal of power for significant up-lines, sounds AMAZING, plus lands beautifully with the trailing suspension and large wheels.
