From a 1983 Kaleidoscope Records double album of live recordings made in 1982 and 1983 which she dedicated to her husband Terry Fowler and to the memory of her songwriter friend Stan Rogers. This is the signature song of the album and of Kate's entire career. The Albert Schweitzer quote on the back cover speaks to its significance: "Sometimes our light goes out but is blown again into flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light."
