These two moments, especially the second one, just go to show how tough the Queen's Guards really are. They are known for their lack of laughing while on duty, and the second of these two moments during Trooping the Colour 2012 really put that reputation to the test. I can't fathom how they managed not to laugh. If it were me, I would definitely instinctively laugh. In addition to trying not to laugh, I'm pretty sure that the man behind the voice crack, Senior Drum Major at the time Ben Roberts, was probably trying not only to hide the laughter, but also the extreme embarrassment and humiliation he felt. But nevertheless, as he was meticulously trained to do, he never broke a smile or a blush.
