Across the Gaza Strip, Palestinian families including very young children haul buckets of water and use mops in a desperate attempt to clear their shoddy tents and muddy streets of water after heavy rainfall hit the region on Tuesday.

“I’m getting soaked as I cook for my children. And now the fire has gone out because of the water and the food isn’t cooked yet. What kind of life is this? This is no way to live,” cries out one mother.

More than a month into a ceasefire with Hamas, Israel has failed to respect the deal and reduce restrictions on the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, especially shelter and heating equipment to prepare for the winter ahead.
