Steroids are also known as steroids hormones. Usually steroids regulate and control many works of our body such as metabolism, immune functions, salt and water balance, inflammation in body and sexual growth according to gender.
Steroids are classified in two types on the basis of function
1. Corticoids: - i. glucocorticoids ii. Mineralocorticoids
2. Sex steroid hormone: - i. Progestogens ii. Androgens iii. Estrogens. And are farther sub-classified.

1. Glucocorticoids: - Alclometasone / Dexamethasone / Prednisone / cortison / triamcinolone.
2. Mineralocorticoids: - fludrocortisone
3. Androgens (Anabolic androgen steroid): - Nandrolone / testosterone / oxabolone / oxandrolone.
4. Progestins: - Northesterone / Hydroxyprogesterone / Medroxyprogesterone. And many more
