Normal playing will cause moisture to collect inside your instrument and natural oils from your skin will be left on the keys and body of your instrument. Regular maintenance is required to keep this from damaging your flute.

The Giardinelli Flute Care Kit contains everything you need for the maintenance of your instrument. The care kit contains a hanky swab and flute cleaning rod which is used to remove accumulated moisture that can damage the pads and bore of your instrument. The swab should be used after each playing session. A Double ended swab is also included and used to clean the head joint of the flute.

The Giardinelli Flute Care Kit also includes a polishing cloth to remove fingerprints and natural oils from the keys and action as well as the body of the instrument. The kit also comes with a thumb cushion and positioner which can help correctly position your right thumb and make holding the instrument more comfortable.
