In a shocking incident, a teacher was fatally stabbed by a class 11 student at Sai Vikas Academy in Sivasagar town.

The incident has left the local community in shock and raised concerns about student behaviour. The victim, Principal Rajesh Babu Bezawada, was attacked with a sharp knife by a minor student following an argument in class.

The seriously injured principal was initially admitted to Pragati Hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was later referred to Assam Medical College Hospital in Dibrugarh.

However, his condition worsened en route, and he was admitted to Siu-Ka-Pha Multispeciality Hospital in Rajabari, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Rajesh Babu, originally from Andhra Pradesh, had been residing in Sivasagar with his family for several years. Sai Vikas Academy, known for providing JEE and NEET coaching along with higher secondary education, is now at the center of this tragic event.

The incident has sparked widespread concern about the behavior of the younger generation and the safety of educational institutions.
