Stockcars Nelson Seedhill Stadium

I have found these images of the famous Seedhill Stock Car Stadium from the Internet, and have compiled them for other people to enjoy who may have fond memories of this popular rough and tough venue, which started the career of some of the top names in the sport. Opened in 1967 and promoted by Mike Parker it was the start of the sports dominance in the North through the 70's and 80's, I always remember him stood at the turnstiles money bag in hand "shouting correct change this way", and stood in the middle of the track in suit and wellies and trying to replace an uplifted fence post in the ground and shovelling sand from a wheelbarrow down the back to pack it out, and then stamping it down with his foot, happy days. It would be great if anyone had any old cine film of Stock car racing at Nelson.
