The Modern Quad was designed to move fast, glide and turn on a dime.
This model was created for two reasons.

First we wanted to bridge the gap for those surfing on a soft top or "fun board" and are now looking for something shorter and easier to maneuver. We want to help accelerate the learning curve. The feedback has been awesome from close friends that have been making that transition in their surfing.

Secondly we wanted to create a board that worked on those slower, high tide days. We designed it with experienced surfers in mind that could shed a little paddle effort but also maximize drive and maneuverability to its fullest.

Features: The outline is fairly straight and moves forward really well. Rails are full, extra foam under the chest with a beak nose.

The water pushes nicely through a single concave under the front of the board, blending into a double concave through the quad set up and out the back. There's also a really fun / free feeling because of the tail width.

In the Modern Quad I really enjoyed the Tom quad set by Futures Fins -

The Tomo Quad, designed by Daniel Thompson of Tomo Surfboards, is a unique fin set-up designed around the El Tomo Fish model.
With such a futuristic appearance, it’s no surprise these fins create the most speed and sharpest turns imaginable.
The majority of the fin sits deep in the water, creating lift and acceleration. In combination with the flat foil front and rear fins, the cut-away base allows for quick direction changes, and maneuverability.
Undeniably, they’re something everybody who loves quads must try.
