On June 29, 2021 a pigeon entered a barn owl nest box that had 4 nestling that is streamed live in our YouTube channel (Charter Group Birdcams ציפורים אונליין קבוצת צ'רטר). A this time the barn owl parents roost outside the nest box during the day and returned only at night to feed the young. Here the barn owl parents left their nestlings a lone to defend themselves from the pigeon pair that wanted the nest for themselves. This is second time we documented a pigeon laying eggs inside an active barn owl nest boxes with barn owls nestlings.
All the birds in this video are WILD and can enter and leave as they please.

We set security cameras in bird nests that we stream live in our YouTube channel “Charter Group Birdcams” in order to observe the birds in nature but not to interfere or intervene.
