What you see on video might not be real -- it could very well be a deepfake. A deepfake is false, doctored content, from audio and photos to videos. Deepfakes can be quite convincing to the untrained eye, but experts can usually spot them easily, especially if the content concerns public figures. Deepfakes notably pop up during election years, in attempts to make certain candidates look bad.
