In this video, i have told how can we cultivate canola in sugarcane september sown crop successfully. There are some useful tips that can help a farmer to get maximum yields of both canola and sugarcane crop as well.
1) Canola must be grown in October in Pakistan as temperature is high above 35 degree centigrade in september which is not favourable or suitable for canola crop.
2) Canola short duration variety such as Ari canola must be sown to get clear field in february which is high growth period for sugarcane crop.
3) Seedrate of canola should be of half acre as 1 kg per acre in intercropped field.
4) Weeds must be controlled by application of proper weedicides such as S metolachlor @800 ml per acre after sowing as pre-emergence herbicides.
