D-Day Commemoration Dak (Douglas DC3 Dakota) Arrival/Departure Prestwick 22/06/2024

On the 22nd June 2024 a classic Dakota (N33644) arrived at Prestwick. The aircraft was transiting on route to Iceland and onwards back to North America. The aircraft had been in Europe in early June to take part in the commemoration of the 80th Anniversay of D-Day on the 6th June. Despite its aging years its wonderful to see the classic Dakota still flying and goes to show how rugged and well built these aircraft are, and testament to the crews who keep them flying.
