The Faridkot royal inheritance battle is back in the spotlight! 🏰💎
The Supreme Court of India stayed further proceedings on the execution of the ₹25,000 crore estate of late Maharaja Harinder Singh Brar. This estate includes forts, palaces, farmland, jewellery, vintage cars, and bank deposits.
The dispute traces back to 1992, when Amrit Kaur challenged a will allegedly favoring the Maharawal Khewaji Trust. Courts later found the will to be fabricated, paving the way for inheritance by the Maharaja’s daughters.
Despite rulings in 2020 and 2022 dividing the estate, execution disputes continue. The latest order came after Amrit Kaur challenged an execution plea filed by Amrinder Singh, representing the line of Kunwar Manjit Inder Singh.
