A rough guide on how to make Beartato:


abbreviations:
slst = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
seest = seed stitch

base:
chain 4, slst to create circle
5 sc around circle, slst to join
increase outwards for a further 5 rows until you have a circle with 6 rows

body:
1 row sc in the top loops of the outermost row of the base (this will direct the rows upwards)
2 rows seest
1 row seest with 2 sc in cream for first row of mouth area
1 row seest with 2 sc in each of the existing cream sc (4 sc in total in this row)
1 row seest with 19 sc in white for the teeth
1 row seest with 6 sc in cream for third row of mouth area
1 row seest with 4 sc in cream for fourth row of mouth area
1 row seest with 2 sc in cream for fifth row of mouth area (decrease each 2 sc into 1 sc)
1 row seest
fill with stuffing here -
decrease over the next 3 rows to close the top of the head

ears:
chain 4 , slst to create circle
6 sc around circle, slst to join
another row of 6 sc (do not increase) - this will make the yarn fold over like a bowl
stitch the ear to the top of the head with the excess yarn
repeat for the other ear
