Ginjo Kugo might not be the most powerful of villains in Bleach, but he is incredibly compelling. This is thanks to the way Kubo handles the slow burn of his character journey, baiting and switching the audience with double and triple bluffs that feel so clever in retrospect that it's easy to tell Kubo planned out the Lost Agent Arc from start to finish.

In this video, we take a look at that journey in depth, and how Kubo used his own tropes to pull the rug out from underneath an audience who thought they had him figured out.
