Decorrelating Audio with PenteoPro+ in Immersive Music Mixing - Justin Gray

My name is Justin Gray. I am a mix/mastering engineer and producer from Toronto, Canada. This video explores how I use PenteoPro+ to decorrelate audio sources in my immersive audio mixing and production.

In this video, I demonstrate some of the new features in PenteoPro+, a few of which I developed with the Penteo team (Stem Pass-Through & Stem Upmix Modes).

The video also includes an in-depth presentation on immersive audio mixing philosophy, with a focus on decorrelation, immersive recording, and spatial remixing.

I finish the video with an audio demo, where I use PenteoPro+ to upmix a drum stem from one of my own recordings and productions in Dolby Atmos. In this demo, I compare the sound of Penteo in 9.1.4 with a native immersive recording of drums which was captured using extensive immersive microphone techniques. USE HEADPHONES FOR THIS DEMO, as it is a binaural stream from the Dolby Atmos Renderer.
