ROCKY'S ITALY: Florence - The Medici Convent of San Marco

The Medici convent of San Marco in Florence, Italy, was the first-ever convent built in the Renaissance style. Entirely funded by Cosimo “the Elder” de' Medici, it was described as the most beautiful convent in all of Italy. San Marco is also a veritable shrine to the creativity of the great Renaissance painter Fra Angelico!
