Per Olsson-Fridh, State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives an address on “The Role of Faith Based Organisations in the Decade of Action”.

He stresses that we need all actors to be included in the work for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Faith-based organizations play a crucial role as part of civil society in bringing hope and faith but also those basic services to people around the world that we need to lift ourselves out of the momentum of crisis to a momentum of opportunity.

He describes faith based organizations as important drivers for positive change. Both on a normative level but also through the unique competence and role that faith based organizations play in many societies around the world.

The recording was made at the SMC Network Inspirational Day in February 2021 on Holistic Mission and Agenda 2030.

A few days later Per Olsson-Fridh was appointed new minister for International Development Cooperation in the Swedish cabinet.
