While cleaning out her room for new a new paint job, Sarah tossed some of her old and broken toys into the trash, and packed up the rest of her beloved dolls, toys, and stuffies into bags and bins while her room was painted. The next morning she went to the garage where her dolls were waiting, but they weren't there! Someone had taken all of them out to the curb with the trash! She rushed outside and was relieved to find them all still there, piled up next to the trash cans. She began looking through the bags to find all of the toys that were meant to be kept so she could bring them back inside where they belonged. Just as she was separating them out, she heard the roar of the garbage truck as it pulled up to her house. Oh no! It was too late. There were too many to make the necessary trips back in, and she knew what the garbageman was here for. His job was to collect anything on the curb and toss it into his truck, no matter what it was. Her heart began to race and she didn't know what to do. The garbage man must be wondering what she was doing out at the curb in her pajamas, so she had no choice but to help him load up his truck. Maybe she could set her toys in there and then take them back out once the garbage man went back to the front of the truck. She placed the bag of stuffies and gently set the bin of cabbage patch kids that she was about to rescue into the back of the rear loader on top of the bags of trash from the neighbor's house. The smell of the garbage in the truck filled the air as she stood back and watched. The garbage man wheeled up the first garbage can to the back of the truck and tipped it into the hopper, but the back of the truck was too full to fit everything from the can. That's when Sarah learned the true power of the garbage truck. The garbage man puller a lever on the side of the truck and with a roar of the engine a huge steel blade opened up revealing tons of crushed garbage it was holding back in the truck. She watched as the huge blade came down onto her bin of dolls, crushing them against the bottom of the hopper and then scooping them into the truck, mashing them in with all the trash.
