Welcome to the Pokemon Uranium Genderlocke Nuzlocke! I will be playing through the fan-made Pokemon Uranium for the first time! I have never played a fan-made Fakemon game before, let alone Uranium, so this will be a blind let's play as well as a Nuzlocke challenge. This will be a vanilla nuzlocke run through the Tandor Region, so all gym battles, encounters, etc. will be as the designers intended. During this blind let's play of Pokemon Uranium, I will be using a variation of the Nuzlocke ruleset.

The rules are listed below:

1. If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead and can no longer be used.
2. Throughout the game, only the first pokemon encountered in each unique route can be caught. If that pokemon flees, faints, or is run away from, the encounter is forfeited and no other pokemon can be caught in that route. There are 2 caveats to this rule: If the first encountered pokemon is in the same evolution line as a pokemon that has already been caught, I can continue to re-encounter until I get a pokemon of a species I haven't yet caught (species clause) or if at any time a shiny pokemon is encountered, I can catch and use this pokemon regardless of where it was encountered (shiny clause).
3. All pokemon must be nicknamed to encourage forming an emotional bond.
4. If all my pokemon on my team and in the PC die, I lose. However, if my entire team dies but I have pokemon in the PC that are still alive, I can continue with those pokemon.

In addition to these normal nuzlocke rules, a Genderlocke adds on 1 additional rule:
1. All pokemon must be the same gender, male or female. This gender is randomly selected at the beginning of the game and going forward, if any encounters are the wrong gender, the player must re-encounter until a pokemon of the correct gender is encountered.

I hope to play through the entire game, defeat the Elite 4, and become the champion! I have never seen any part of this game, so I am so excited to be playing a brand new story for me and meeting all the new pokemon that were added to this game!
