Sexually Suggestive Overwatch

Sorry I didn’t get much actual Overwatch gameplay in this video. I think the only time there was footage was during my Genji play of the game.

Here is my character tier list by specialization and fun factor, not by competitive meta:

Offense: Pharah - Genji - McCree - Soldier:76 - Reaper - Tracer (she is last because her lazy cockney accent, luv)

Defense: Torbjorn* - Mei - Junkrat - Hanzo - Widowmaker - Bastion (only choose him if you want a free win)

Tank: Roadhog - D.Va - Zarya - Reinhardt - Winston (nobody likes Winston)

Support: Lucio = Mercy = Symmetra = Zenyatta (they’re all equally good)

Torbjorn is my favorite hero. All you have to do with him is build turrets and pass out armor while defending and point. Torbjorn’s ultimate, molten core, is pretty damn useful too. Attack Speed for you and your turret plus added armor makes you pretty much able to kill anyone.

If I wanted to do less sitting around and more offense I pick Pharah. She reminds me of the soldier from team fortress 2 but more streamline. You don’t have to use your primary attack to rocket jump all you have to do is hit shift, and she also has a float hotkey much like Mercy.

Favorite tank is Roadhog, love using his hook to pull people towards you. It’s very similar to MOBA characters like blitzcrank or stitches but it seems like Roadhog’s hook is much easier to land.

Favorite support is Lucio, his kit seemed to have everything. AoE heal. AoE speedboost.AoE Shield. Knock back. Amplifier for your abilities. All of this was on a low cooldown. He could also skate on walls.

Reaper seems like a flagship character for edgy teenagers. Mei reminds me of the pyro but with zoning mechanics.

The general story is that overwatch takes place 30 years in the future where omnic robots go rogue and pump out their own military robots to destroy humanity. The UN creates overwatch to protect humanity. Overwatch does so and years in the future after that some stuff happens and the people they protected now look down upon these heroes. It is really hard to follow what is happening in this game. It just seems like Reaper and Soldier:76 were the leaders of overwatch and an elaborate conspiracy broke the organization apart.

What was interesting to me is that there is no level cap. I think I saw a youtube video with a person who was level 158? I could be wrong. I would link the video but youtube is littered with Zarya solo team kill videos. She just uses her ultimate (graviton surge) then sucks everyone in and while they’re stunned the grenade launchers them down. Although i did not see much Zarya play in the beta weekend. Another thing to note is that her left click is the highest dps in the game at the moment.

Each time you level up you received a loot box which is much like opening a hearthstone pack of cards. Although in overwatch you are not entitled to a rare or above in every box opening. Same blizzard quality ranking for these cosmetic objects. Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Any duplicates become credits (overwatch currency) which allows you to buy player icons, skins, emotes, sprays, voice lines, victory poses, and highlight intros. What you cannot buy are overwatch origin edition and pre purchase skins.

I am still deciding wether to get origins edition of overwatch or basic. Origins edition comes with 5 overwatch skins:

Blackwatch Reyes (Reaper)
Strike-Commander Morrison (Soldier: 76)
Overgrown Bastion
Security Chief Pharah
Slipstream Tracer

I am not a person that buys skins in any type of game, but if i were to pick up origins edition I would use them for sure.

I wouldn't get much use out of the WoW and SC2 content. I may play diablo 3 again for the next season so those mechanical wings would be nice. Always nice to have more hearthstone backs and I do play heroes of the storm. Is it all worth 20$? I guess I could always upgrade from basic at a later time. There is a collector’s edition too, it is 130$. As i said i don’t usually buy cosmetic stuff in game so there is no way in hell i'm buying that. It comes with a Bronze statue of Solider:76. Art book and soundtrack.

To end this overwatch review I'll say that it reminds me of TF2 and CS GO but with MOBA (league of legends, dota 2, heroes of the storm) character running around. I think i read that the MMR (internal Matchmaking ranking) was disabled for the stress test weekend. So I lost more games during that beta weekend then won. Also I did not reach the level requirement to try competitive mode Can’t believe blizzard salvaged their canceled game titan to make what i think will be another success. They are pushing it a lot with the cinematic trailers, but I don’t think it will go anywhere in the esports scene.
