Ketch had a career spanning almost a quatrefoil of a century and in his time he became known as the most infamous executioner at tyburn and he earned a reputation for his brutality. for an executioner, that was certainly something the condemned did not want. even After his death, his name brought fear, for Jack Ketch became a slang term for three things. The executioner, death and even the devil himself.
