With smelting expansion underway, it’s time to start thinking in trains. In this episode, we lay the groundwork for our entire rail network by placing the very first train station, and more importantly, explaining why it’s nowhere near the main bus.
I break down the logic behind station placement, cover the limitations of early-game steel production, and walk you through the reasoning behind my layout choices. We also map out where the future refueling station will go, and why solid fuel is our go-to for now.
To keep things moving, I pull out my trusted rail blueprint book and begin laying basic track foundations, including an inline stacker for better train flow. It’s all about smart setup and forward planning.
By the end of this episode, our train network has its first major foothold, ready to expand, scale, and feed the base exactly where it matters most.
