1. Explanation of ILO and its Importance: ILO can mimic asthma symptoms or exacerbate them, leading to a cycle of dysfunctional breathing and shortness of breath. Recognizing ILO is crucial to avoid unnecessary medication like prednisolone, which can have significant side effects and doesn't help with ILO.

2. Symptoms and Diagnosis: You mention that some symptoms of ILO include rapid onset and offset of symptoms, voice changes, exacerbation from strong smells, exercise, or smoke, and normal lung function tests. A flattened inspiratory or expiratory flow-volume loop may also be observed. Nasal endoscopy is recommended for diagnosis.

3. Treatment: Diaphragmatic breathing exercises are suggested as the primary treatment. If symptoms persist, referral to a respiratory physiotherapist trained in laryngeal obstruction and breathing dysfunction is advised.

4. Nasal Endoscopy Demonstration: The video includes a demonstration of a nasal endoscopy procedure. This shows the vocal cords during normal breathing and how they, along with the muscles above them, clamp closed during ILO, causing the entire larynx to close.
