My friend produces his own sticker line and wanted a custom stamp to use in decorating the envelopes when he mails them out. We thought that 3D printing a mold and casting the stamp surface with some leftover casting products would be a fun and cheap experiment.

We tried urethane, which worked pretty well, and silicone, which was a pain because it's pretty hard to get any adhesives to stick to it. We tried leftover inkjet ink, but in the end, actual stamp ink worked the best.

In any case, the technique of mocking up a quick mold and casting a custom rubber ink stamp seems to be a winner.
