I MADE A MISTAKE. IN OPENING SCREEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO SAY JAN.16 1943!

This is a video that took me a long time to make, since I wasn't accustomed to the software (it took me close to a week). It may not seem like much but this video attempts to outline the most basic visual timeline of operation mars. Hopefully, but the end of this video you will have gained a basic understanding of the whole operation and why it is often referred to as Marshall Georgy Zhukovs biggest defeat.

In order to offer a more detailed glimpse into the battle, I will be posting a second more educational video on operation mars in the coming days. Please stay tuned if you are interested. I will leave the link below.

Now before you go off on my for some inaccuracies regarding commander changes especially on the Western front, I did not bother because they are such miniscule details. It would take away from the substance of the video if I were to delve too much into the order of battle.

I also skipped quite a few days after Dec. 16, primarily because the frontline essentially froze because of the coming winter. So it may seem like the title is misleading, however the video shows all troop movements within public record.
