Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) achieved a major milestone with simultaneous launch of two Fast Patrol Vessels — ICGS Ajit and ICGS Aparajit — for the Indian Coast Guard at its Vasco da Gama yard. Launched by Manju Sharma in the presence of Dr. Mayank Sharma, Financial Advisor (Defence Services), the event marked the completion of a series of eight indigenously built FPVs under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. Each 52-metre vessel, equipped with Controllable Pitch Propellers, is designed for coastal surveillance, anti-smuggling, anti-piracy, and rescue operations. GSL officials said the launches reaffirm the shipyard’s commitment to strengthening India’s maritime security and advancing the Make in India vision.
